This viral video is actually from 2023 and went viral then, but it has once again gone viral. The event was put on by the YouTube MMA channel Dogfight Wild Tournament, which is based in Spain.
For those familiar with the DWT channel, the promotion is known for putting on wild circus fights, including 3-on-1 fights, tag team MMA fights, and bare-knuckle bouts.
This also includes Pride-style fights between fighters from different weight classes, like the video we’re here to break down.
Spain’s athletic commission seems to lack some rules for fighting to let this fight go down. However, this fight was set up; somebody pulled some strings, which led to this video going viral.
Raymison Formiga(5’3” BJJ Black Belt

Raymison “Formiga” Bruno is a professional MMA fighter, grappler, and BJJ black belt living in Spain. According to Tapology, Formiga went into this fight against Dalet with an 11-4 pro record.
The Brazilian grappler generally fought in the flyweight and bantamweight divisions before this bout. However, the experienced fighter was confident in his ability to finish the giant MMA fighter Roger Dalet.

Roger Dalet is a 6’8″ novice MMA fighter who took the challenge against the smaller and more experienced grappler. From the video, Dalet is not a very technical striker and does not have much fighting experience.
However, he seemed to believe that his size would be enough to take out Formiga… but he was wrong.

The smaller BJJ black belt took the giant MMA fighter down within the first minutes of round one. Formiga controlled the bigger fighter before moving to the mount and locking in a tight armbar. The DWC crowd went crazy, and footage of the fight went viral online.

This fight was a perfect demonstration of the power of BJJ. To the untrained eye, many would assume that Bruno would have been killed by the larger MMA fighter.
