CJI Raised $500k For Cancer Research
Craig Jones took time away from his visit to Rio de Janeiro to announce how much CJI raised for charity. While sporting a speedo on RDJ beach, Jones revealed CJI raised over $500k for cancer research.
Tap Cancer Out made out big with this incredible donation, thanks to the Jiu-Jitsu community.
“Massive announcement down from Rio de Janeiro. CJI has raised over half a million dollars for Tap Cancer Out. You heard that right! CJI, the inaugural event, raised over half a million dollars for cancer research.”
CJI Raised An Additional $50k For a Charity in Bali
In addition to the massive $500 raised for cancer research, CJI also made another generous donation. They raised $50k in ticket proceeds to a charity in Bali called Akademi Kristus Sanaur.
This is a charity run by Geoff Collins, which Jones visited last year during his trip to Bali. The $50k raised in ticket sales will help underprivileged kids in Bali have a place to learn and do activities.
Craig personally called his friend Geoff last week to deliver the news.
Great Work From CJI
CJI accomplished everything it set out to do. In addition to putting on a great grappling show watched by millions, they raised over half a million for charities. This shows that the event was a huge success, and Jiu-Jitsu fans will look forward to the next event.
