World Strongest Man Winner and YouTube personality Martins Licis recently earned his BJJ blue belt.

Martins Licis Earns His BJJ Blue Belts
The 2017 World’s Strongest Man champion Martins Licis recently received a promotion to blue belt. Martins was promoted by his coach, Thiago Rodrigues, at Rose House BJJ.
If you don’t know Licis, the strongman champion, he has his own YouTube channel. He travels the world for his show Strength Unknown, where he showcases strongmen and grapplers.
From the adventures on his show, Martins began practicing Jiu-Jitsu for over two years and is actively competing. The strongman athlete had practiced with several top grapplers, including Gordon Ryan.
Just recently, Licis earned a gold medal in his division at the 2025 ADCC San Diego Open.
