Craig Jones has found himself at the center of yet another viral moment — this time, being escorted out of the FloGrappling offices by security.
The exact reason for the incident wasn’t immediately clear.FloGrappling released a brief statement on Instagram, framing the situation as a case of workplace disruption:
While we respect humour, we cannot tolerate trespassing or disruptions to the workplace. We are reviewing the matter internally and have referred the matter to local authorities.
Naturally, that only fueled curiosity.
Fans and fellow athletes flooded social media looking for answers, and Jiu-Jitsu personality Alex Wendling — who works closely with Jones as part of the Craig Jones Invitational and co-hosts his podcast — weighed in to suggest the incident had been blown out of proportion:
This is by far blowing the most little prank out of proportion and quite frankly lying to the cops.
She later posted a video to her social media to reassure fans:
Hey guys, today has been one of the most hectic days ever so if I haven’t gotten back to you, I’m sorry.
A few people, actually a lot of people, have been reaching out to me and checking on Craig; including his brother because he can’t get in touch with him.Seth (Belisle) is handling everything and it’s not my place to say what exactly went down.
When Craig does have the chance to tell his side of the story, which should be relatively soon…I doubt that he will have to spend the night in jail, the Jiu-Jitsu world’s gonna have a freaking heyday with all this.
So, what the hell Flo? Like, what the actual hell?
Jones also addressed the situation directly, assuring fans he’s fine and promising a full explanation soon:
Quick update guys, everything’s totally fine. There’s been a massive miscommunication, I’ll be able to update you guys tomorrow.
My lawyer said I can’t speak any further about this, but I’m okay.
