Amit reached for greatness and etched her name in the history books. This was no fluke, as Elor is one of the world’s most committed and talented combat sports athletes.
Amit Elor’s Performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Amit Elor was a heavy favorite for the 2024 Paris Olympics. She was on a 37-match winning streak and outscored her opponents 322-16.
Elore faced reigning world champion Buse Tosun Cavusoglu from Turkey in her first match. Elor made easy work of the champion, winning 10-2.
Amit’s second-round match was a shutout as she defeated reigning U23 champion Wiktoria Choluj of Poland 8-0. She pitched another shutout in the semis by beating North Korea’s Pak Sol-gum 10-0.
The finals against Kryzgystan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova was her most challenging match of the tourney. Amit grinded out a 3-0 win to make history and become the youngest American Olympic gold medalist in history.
An incredible performance by the young freestyle wrestler, who made it look easy.
Is Amit Elor a Future BJJ World Champion?
Amit Elor is also a BJJ purple belt and is currently dating BJJ world champion Mica Galvao. She is highly dedicated to grappling and could quickly excel at whatever she focuses on.Â
At just 20 years old, nobody would be surprised to see Elor continue amateur wrestling. She has already won every accolade in amateur wrestling. If she wants, she can continue adding to her impressive legacy in wrestling.
However, nobody would be surprised to see the multi-time world champion and Olympian transition to another sport. With Amit’s wrestling background and connection to Galvao, she could quickly become a future BJJ world champion.
Amit could even transition over to MMA and be successful. She is incredibly talented and has the mindset of a champion.
