It’s Official: AJPTourAJPTour Launches New National Ranking and Prizes for Everyone in Italy and Spain

Yes, that’s true, everyone, from kids to masters, will have the chance to access the new and exclusive AJPTour prizes. These prizes are designed to help competitors climb their way to success and earn increasingly higher cash rewards.

For Italy and Spain, a National Ranking will be established, with more than 50 prizes per country.

ADULTS & MASTERS 

The best Athletes in the National Ranking per each belt, from white to black belt, will receive the following prizes:

1st – Flight + FREE Registration to Abu Dhabi World Pro JJ Championship + AJP Merchandise• 2nd – FREE Registration to all the event of the National Tour of the new sport season • 3rd – FREE Registration to Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Rome

KIDS & YOUTH

The best National Athletes per belt, the top in the in the Spanish and Italian Ranking, from white to black belt, will receive the following prizes:

All competitors from white belt to blue belt will receive:

1st – FREE Registration to all the event of the National Tour of the new sport season 
2nd – FREE Registration for the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Rome

The goal is to provide opportunities for every single participant, from the youngest to the oldest, to live the dream of competing in international-level tournaments starting already in their own country. 

The National Tour will identify 24 champions (the top 2 national athletes per belt) in the Kids & Youth category, and 30 champions (the top 3 national athletes per belt) in the Adult & Master categories.

The total number of prizes includes both male and female categories, with equal opportunities and the same number of prizes awarded to female competitors.

By accumulating points in the National Ranking, athletes will also earn points in the Continental and World Rankings, which provide access to the following rewards for Pros and Masters (details for each category and belt can be found on ajptour.com):

Best of Europe: $5,000 USD + Travel Pack to the World Pro
7x Abu Dhabi Grand Slam: Total prize pool of around $120,000 USD per event, with prizes for belts and weight categories
Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship: Total prize pool exceeding $800,000 USD per event, including prizes for kids, youth, and para-athletes, with rewards for belts and weight categories

In addition to the prize pools mentioned, at the end of the season, athletes with the highest scores in the world ranking will be invited to the exclusive Jiu-Jitsu Awards ceremony, the most prestigious event in the global Jiu-Jitsu community.

During this live broadcast dinner, the top-ranked athletes and academies in the world will be announced. Along with their trophies, they will receive additional cash prizes, totaling $171,000 USD shared between athletes and academies.

Nicola Intreccio, the European coordinator, explain: “Jiu-Jitsu is becoming extremely popular in Europe, and now everyone, even those who practice this sport as a hobby, prefers to compete in a high-level international circuit like AJPTour. 

Not everybody is fighting for the prize, even if the prize for Pro athlete goes over $100,000 USD per each weight class. The athletes and academies have pleasure in joining international event and get high visibility. 

Athletes can build their career from scratch by participating in local events, but most importantly, they know that the medal they receive has real value recognizes all over the world.”
