A matchup between top no-gi grapplers Ffion Davies and Adele Fornarino will be the main event of UFC FPI 10.

A clash between no-gi grappling’s top two women will headline the UFC Fight Pass Invitational (UFC FPI) 10, as ADCC champions Ffion Davies and Adele Fornarino are set to lock horns in Las Vegas. That event will take place on Thursday, March 6.

Davies has enjoyed an incredible run of dominance dating back to 2022 when she won gold at the IBJJF Worlds and ADCC World Championships, establishing herself as the sport’s top pound-for-pound competitor across both gi and no-gi action. She would continue similar success in 2023 by claiming another IBJJF gi world title as well as winning double gold at the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds.

The Wales native then went undefeated in 2024, although she competed sparingly and against limited competition. In addition to her high-profile victory over current UFC star Mackenzie Dern at the inaugural Craig Jones Invitational, Davies’ most notable victory in 2024 came against Canadian standout Brianna Ste-Marie.

Fornarino, meanwhile, had a breakout year in 2024, going undefeated across both gi and no-gi competition. After picking up a lightning-fast submission win over Amanda “Tubby” Alequin at Who’s Number One (WNO) to begin her year, the Australian would go on to win the ADCC Asian and Oceania Trials, then claim double gold at the 2024 ADCC World Championships, marking one of the most impressive single-tournament performances in recent memory. Fornarino closed out her 2024 with a title-winning submission over Sophia Cassella at WNO.

This won’t be the first time these two athletes have locked horns. In the first round of the 2022 ADCC World Championships, Davies scored a rear-naked choke victory over Fornarino.

Simply put, the match between Davies and Fornarino at UFC FPI 10 represents a clash between the sport’s clear-cut top two athletes, each in their respective primes. Whoever emerges victorious will have staked her claim as the top pound-for-pound grappler in the world.

How to watch: Ffion Davies vs. Adele Fornarino takes place at UFC FPI 10, which will air live on UFC Fight Pass (subscription required) on Thursday, March 6 beginning at 9:00 PM EST.
