Gordon Ryan quickly turned down a potential grappling match with Dillon Danis citing that he “just isn’t a real athlete.”

Gordon Ryan Turns Down Danis Match
Dillon Danis recently teased that he’d do a grappling match with Gordon Ryan again if the money was right. The reigning ADCC champ quickly turned down the clout chaser in a swift response.
While Ryan was being interviewed on Ariel Helwani’s show, he had this to say about the potential matchup.
“[Dillon Danis] manages to stay in the public eye while not really having any credentials or skills of any kind. He’s never really won anything big… he was decent at Jiu-Jitsu. There was always a point where he was competing with the best guys, but he could never really beat the best guys. His record at black belt is 18-16.”- Ryan.
Gordon ended his statement by saying that he has no problem with Danis, but doesn’t view him as an athlete.
“I don’t have a problem with Dillon. He makes things happen without actually doing anything. I mean, nothing against Dillon, he’s just not a real athlete.”– Ryan
No Ryan vs. Danis Match(Thankfully)
Thankfully, we won’t have the pre-fight circus that would come with this match. Tough luck to Dillon Danis as he’ll have to try and find another potential payday.
