Kade Ruotolo Out Of ONE Title Fight
Over the weekend, CJI & ONE lightweight champ Kade Ruotolo announced on Instagram that his big match with Mikey Musumeci has been canceled. He cited numerous injuries.
“Just going to start by saying this year has been a hectic one. I am proud of accomplishing my goals this year of competing in gi, no-gi, and MMA. I’m unfortunately dealing with injuries. I know many people, including myself and Mikey, were looking forward to the One match in Denver, but sadly, it’s off. “- Kade Ruotolo.
This isn’t surprising news if you watched Ruotolo in action at CJI. He had hellish wars en route to winning the $1 million prize. Unfortunately, we must wait until next year for this huge match.
Last Minute Replacements At Polaris 29
Injuries also forced a few changes at the Polaris 29 events this Saturday. Max Lindblad was forced to withdraw from the biggest match of his career against AOJ killer Tainan Dalpra.
Polaris veteran and multi-time European Open champ Tarik Hopstock will replace Max. Hopstock is a standout Norwegian grappler who is going to bring a good fight.
Arya Esfandmaz was also forced to pull out of his Polaris 29 match against AOJ’s newest member, Fellipe Andrew. Fellipe will now be going against Davis Asare, a student of the wizard John Danaher.
This is the biggest match in Asare’s career, but if Danaher is confident in him, he’ll look to make a splash. A win against Andrew will make his name in the sport.

Bobby is martial artist for almost 20 years with a BJJ black belt under Professor Sergio Miranda. He is also a karate black and former combat sports athlete, who loves all things grappling.
