Lachlan Giles Announces -99/+99 KG Tourneys

As expected, CJI 2 Australia/Eurasia coach Lachlan Giles will be holding tournaments to decide open spots on his team. There will be a +99 and -99 kg division to decide two of the open spots.

Levi Jones-leary and Lucas Kanard have already been selected for the 77 and 88 kg spots on the team. Giles will also be using his wildcard pick for the 66 kg spot.

Invitational Round Robin Tourneys

In his Instagram post, Lachlan Giles went into detail on the process of choosing athletes and the tourney formats. He will be choosing six athletes for each division who have passports from either Australia or an Asia or Eurasian country.

Once Giles chooses the competitors, two round-robin tournaments will go down at a date TBD. Lachlan is particularly looking for athletes who go for submissions and put on exciting matches.

We’re eager to see which athletes Lachlan chooses for the trials and we would love to watch the matches.
