Check out the main card lineup and preview for Polaris 30, set to air live on UFC Fight Pass on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Top U.K.-based grappling promotion Polaris Professional returns to action on Saturday, November 2 with an absolutely stacked card featuring a main event bout between MMA legends Carlos Condit and Michael “Venom” Page. The co-main event features a women’s title bout as Helena Crevar takes on Nia Blackman. Also on the card, Polaris featherweight champion Keith Krikorian moves up to lightweight to clash with Jed Hue.
Carlos Condit vs. Michael “Venom” Page
Former UFC interim champion Carlos Condit returns to the Polaris stage to take on current UFC fighter Michael “Venom” Page in the cards headlining bout. A veteran of 46 professional MMA bouts, Condit was known as a prolific finisher. During his long career, Condit scored 13 victories via submission. Condit stepped up to take on Polaris champion Ash Williams at Polaris 22. He was submitted via heel hook.
Current UFC Welterweight “MVP” is known as a devastating finisher inside the cage; however, he is not known for his grappling. MVP has three submission victories on his resume with the last coming via leg lock in 2016. He has never been submitted in MMA competition. MVP is a wild card in this bout as you don’t get to see much of his grappling.
Helena Crevar vs. Nia Blackman
Jiu-jitsu phenom Helena Crevar looks to defend her lightweight title against U.K standout Nia Blackman. Fresh off claiming a silver medal at the ADCC world championships, Crevar will look to make the first defense of her Lightweight championship she won at Polaris 28. That bout saw her defeat Jessika Torttila via referee decision. Crevar is a dangerous submission specialist known for her open guard work and leg attacks.
Hometown hero Nia Blackman has upset on her mind as she aspires to win the strap in front of her people. Blackman is a 2x colored belt IBJJF world champion and 2024 ADCC European trials champion. Blackman is an elite guard passer, and it will be fascinating to see how she matches up with the dynamic guard game of Crevar.
Keith Krikorian vs. Jed Hue
Reigning Polaris Featherweight champion Keith Krikorian jumps up to the lightweight division to take on fan-favorite Jed Hue in a #1 contenders’ bout. Krikorian is one of the most seasoned competitors in the game today. A multiple-time ADCC world championships veteran and ADCC trials winner, Krikorian aspires to hold double gold under the Polaris banner. While Krikorian may do his best work from the bottom, especially attacking legs, he has a very good takedown game and is adept at taking the back and finding finishes.
Top UK grappler and fan favorite Jed Hue is no stranger to the Polaris stage. He faces arguably his stiffest test yet in Krikorian as he pursues a shot at Lightweight gold. Hue is renowned for being a dangerous leg locker. He can attack the lower body in various ways. Hue showed in his last bout that he has been working diligently on his wrestling game. This bout has fireworks written all over it and may just steal the show.
The rest of the card at Polaris 30
UFC Featherweight Nathaniel Wood battles fellow UFC veteran and Cage Warriors standout Cameron Else. Between the two, they have ten submission victories. Expect to see some high-level wrestling in this one as neither is likely to want to cede the bottom position.
Dante Leon makes his Polaris debut against Ellis Younger fresh off defeating ADCC champions Mica Galvao and Giancarlo Bodoni on his way to a 3rd place finish in the ADCC absolute division. Leon is rock solid in every position on the mat and a proven finisher. Younger has made a name for himself on the UK circuit and is primed to step up to take on one of the best in the world.
Rounding out the main card, ADCC and CJI veteran Eoghan O’Flanagan will step up to heavyweight to take on exciting brown belt Philippe Geyer.
