Polaris 30 went down on Saturday in the U.K. and featured a number of elite no-gi grapplers and top-flight MMA fighters competing in submission-only matches.
In the main event, current UFC welterweight standout Michael “Venom” Page scored a closely contested decision victory over former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit. Page employed a solid wrestling and counter-wrestling game to generally win top position on his way to nabbing the narrow decision.
The evening’s co-main event saw teenage phenom Helena Crevar successfully defend her Polaris 70kg title against a very game Nia Blackman. Crevar found success attacking from her guard through much of the bout’s opening several minutes, stringing together upper and lower-body attacks to keep the Brit largely on the defensive. Well aware that she was down on the scorecards, Blackman turned up the pressure in the final minutes and nearly secured a guard pass.

Ultimately, though, Crevar walked away with the clear-cut decision. Fresh off a second-place finish at the 2024 ADCC World Championships, the New Wave product continues to cement herself as one of the sport’s top pound-for-pound competitors.X
Before that, Polaris featherweight champion Keith Krikorian impressed with a strong showing against British submission hunter Jed Hue. Krikorian put in solid work from top position for most of the high-paced, 10-minute affair, mixing up submission attempts with a steady stream of guard passing to score the decision win.
That victory established Krikorian as the #1 contender at lightweight. That belt is currently held by B-Team representative Ethan Crelinsten.
Elsewhere on the card, UFC star Nathaniel “The Prospect” Wood earned a decision over UK MMA veteran Cameron Else; Dante Leon shined in his promotional debut against Ellis Younger; and Eoghan O’Flanagan scored a hard-fought decision against rising star Philippe Geyer.
