Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev should just have a bonus check waiting for them as soon as they enter the octagon.
In a rare occurrence, the lightweight fan favorites won Fight of the Night again for their rematch at UFC 313 on Saturday in Las Vegas. The two also earned the award for their first fight at UFC 286 in March 2023. Gaethje won both fights by decision.
Their second meeting was just as hotly contested as the first, but the more experienced Gaethje eventually turned the volume up to a level that Fiziev couldn’t match, and he left T-Mobile Arena with a trio of 29-28 scores. Fiziev can console himself with another $50,000 bonus check after stepping in as a replacement for an injured Dan Hooker on 10 days’ notice.
Gaethje and Fiziev both added to their unreal UFC bonus tallies, with Gaethje having 14 bonuses across 14 fights, and Fiziev now owning seven bonuses in 10 UFC appearances.
The same pairing winning multiple Fight of the Nights is rare, though it has happened several times in the UFC, including Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz, Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo, Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz, Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz, and Sam Stout vs. Spencer Fisher.
Performance of the Night bonuses went to main card lightweights Mauricio Ruffy and Ignacio Bahamondes. Ruffy scored the best knockout of 2025 with a spinning wheel kick KO of King Green, while Bahamondes needed less than a round to score a triangle choke submission of Jalin Turner.
