View the full card lineup and preview for UFC FPI 11, headlined by a match between Ffion Davies and Adele Fornarino.
The UFC Fight Pass Invitational (UFC FPI) will return to action on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with arguably the strongest lineup in the event’s history.
Ffion Davies vs. Adele Fornarino
In the main event of UFC FPI 11, decorated Welsh standout Ffion Davies will square off with reigning ADCC champion Adele Fornarino in a clash that, for all intents and purposes, will determine the sport’s top pound-for-pound female grappler.
A black belt since 2018, Davies has been recognized by many as BJJ’s top athlete since her breakout year in 2022, when she claimed gold in the 60kg division at the ADCC World Championships and gold at the IBJJF Worlds in the gi. She has since added another gi world title and a pair of no-gi world titles to her already impressive resume.
In 2024, though, Davies competed less frequently and largely against a lower level of competition. In addition to submission victories over current full-time UFC fighters Luana Pinheiro and Mackenzie Dern, her most significant win came against former foe Brianna Ste-Marie at Polaris 27.
For her part, Fornarino is currently in the thick of one of the most impressive competitive runs in recent memory. The Australian went undefeated across both gi and no-gi action in 2024, scoring WNO superfight wins over Amanda “Tubby” Alequin, Anna Rodrigues, and Sophia Cassella. Fornarino’s crowning achievement came at the 2024 ADCC World Championships, where she submitted four of six opponents to capture gold in both the 55kg and absolute divisions.
Davies and Fornarino will now collide in a rematch of the pair’s 2022 ADCC showdown that Davies won by submission.
In terms of style, Davies pushes a pace unlike any other, often employing her elite judo and takedown skills to establish top position before utilizing her relentless guard passing to create back exposure. And while Fornarino is a skilled grappler in all phases, she tends to do her best work from her guard, and in particular her closed guard.
Fans can likely expect to see Davies use her physically imposing style of guard passing to achieve a dominant position, while Fornarino will aim to hunt submissions from practically every position.
Raquel Canuto vs. Ana Carolina Vieira
Before that, Raquel Canuto will put her undefeated UFC FPI record on the line against current ADCC 65kg champion Ana Carolina Vieira.
A three-time no-gi world champion, Canuto briefly stepped away from competition between 2021 and 2023, only to return with resounding success in 2024. She is 4-0 at UFC FPI, with her most notable victory coming against gi and no-gi IBJJF world champion Gabi McComb.
Vieira, meanwhile, is one of BJJ’s most accomplished active competitors. She boasts six IBJJF world titles across both gi and no-gi. In 2024, she took out Amanda Leve, Bia Mesquita, and Helena Crevar to capture her first ADCC world title.
In many ways, Canuto and Vieira possess similar grappling styles. Both women are superb top players with elite pressure passing, a deep gas tank, and a mountain of high-level experience. Given each athlete’s strengths, much of this match could likely be contested on the feet in a battle for takedowns and top position.
The rest of the card at UFC FPI 11
The remainder of the card features plenty of elite competitors.
Teenage phenom Achilles Rocha, fresh off a victory over Nathan Haddad at the last UFC FPI, will square off with ADCC and CJI veteran William Tackett in a middleweight match that promises fireworks. Rocha is a true buzzsaw of activities who thrives in scrambles, while Tackett is an ultra-aggressive submission hunter with a knack for finding the finish at a moment’s notice.
Fans also won’t want to miss the flyweight bout between ADCC bronze medalist Jasmine Rocha (the older sister to Achilles) and 2023 IBJJF no-gi world champion Alex Enriquez. The two have met in competition four times as black belts, with Rocha holding a 3-1 advantage.
