Conor McGregor nearly had his first fight in almost four years earlier tonight (Fri., April 4, 2025) at BKFC 71 from Dubai, U.A.E., as a wild fan attempted to attack “Notorious” after the conclusion of the event. Luckily, security was there to keep the former UFC champion out of trouble.

As you may know, McGregor is part-owner of BKFC and has become quite the promoter these days. While he’s not staking his claim to become the next President of Ireland the UFC superstar is off traveling the world to promote bareknuckle boxing and make good on another lucrative investment.

McGregor hasn’t been part of an actual fight since suffering a brutal leg injury in his trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier back in July 2021. So when an overzealous fan tried to get close to McGregor at BKFC 71 it peaked his interest. After all, McGregor is supposedly itching to get back in the Octagon (or the ring).

The incident from BKFC 71 can be seen below (via Ushatayka_tm IG):

As for McGregor’s actual fighting career, it’s unknown at this time if he’ll even want to come back. McGregor has so many other things going on and if he really did join the political ranks in Ireland that would be an official wrap to his prestigious UFC career. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out, but at least McGregor wasn’t caught up in a bareknuckle brawl on Saturday.
