Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is inching closer to its UFC 309 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for this Sat. night (Nov. 16, 2024) at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Headlining this weekend’s mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card will be the heavyweight title fight pitting reigning division kingpin Jon Jones against former 265-pound titleholder Stipe Miocic. In the UFC 309 co-main event, former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira looks to go two-up against 155-pound “Iron” man Michael Chandler.

Not surprisingly, the promotion will roll out its A-team for broadcast and commentary duties.

Longtime play-by-play man Jon Anik leads the cageside charge, alongside color commentary legend Joe Rogan and former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier. As usual, “Veteran Voice of the Octagon” Bruce Buffer will handle fighter walkouts while roving reporter Megan Olivi covers pre- and post-fight interviews.

That’s according to MMA Junkie.

In addition, retired UFC middleweight Chael Sonnen and current 205-pound contender Anthony Smith will serve as desk analysts for the UFC 309 post-fight show (and throughout the card), joining former UFC lightweight Paul Felder and reputable sportscaster Brendan Fitzgerald for all the combat sports chatter in “The Empire State.”

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 309 fight card RIGHT HERE, starting with the early ESPN+ “Prelims” matches at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the UFC 309 PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

LEGACY ON THE LINE! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to “The Big Apple” in New York, N.Y., on Sat., Nov. 16, 2024, with the long-awaited, legacy-defining Heavyweight showdown between reigning division champion, Jon Jones, looking to ride off into the sunset as the bonafide G.O.A.T. at the expense of former kingpin, Stipe Miocic. In UFC 309’s pay-per-view (PPV) co-headliner from inside Madison Square Garden, former Lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, will run it back with Michael Chandler, who has been sitting on the sidelines unsuccessfully waiting for Conor McGregor’s ill-fated comeback. UFC 309 will also feature the exciting returns of super prospects Mauricio Ruffy and Bo Nickal (in separate fights) and so much more! UFC 309’s start time is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET (Prelims card) and 10 p.m. ET (PPV main card).
